We’ll begin the morning with a wellness session—either yoga or a restorative sound bath—designed to ground us and open space for the day ahead. After lunch, we’ll gather in the villa’s gardens for a guided meditation, connecting with the natural beauty around us and welcome Salvadoran illustrator Wilber Salguero for an intimate painting workshop. Wilber’s art is deeply rooted in the flowers and fauna of El Salvador, the grains that sustain the country—coffee, cacao, and maíz—and the cherished traditions of Latin America. Together, we’ll explore creativity as a form of connection and reflection.

We’ll begin the day with a guided visit to El Tazumal, one of El Salvador’s most important archeological sites. Located in Chalchuapa, these ruins date back to the Maya era and showcase ancient pyramids, temples, and ceremonial platforms that tell the story of pre-Hispanic life in the region. As we walk through the site, we’ll learn about its history, architecture, and the cultural significance it holds for El Salvador today.

After returning to the villa, we’ll share lunch together before easing into a leisurely afternoon. Guests will have the chance to unwind by the pool or enjoy the refreshing waters of Lago Coatepeque.

We’ll begin the morning with a guided meditation to ground ourselves before moving into a hands-on incense-making workshop with Michelle of Luwama Artesanas. Michelle is an artisan and doula who creates beautiful, intentional pieces rooted in Salvadoran tradition. During the workshop, she’ll share her process and guide us in crafting our own incense sticks to take home. After lunch at the villa, the afternoon will be yours to enjoy—whether by setting out on a boat ride across Lago Coatepeque or simply relaxing by the water.

Our day will begin with a special coffee experience—either a visit to a local coffee farm or a guided tasting brought to us at the villa. Through this, you’ll learn about the rich traditions of Salvadoran coffee and savor its distinct flavors. From there, we’ll head into a nearby town to explore and shop for colorful artesanías, where you’ll have the chance to support local makers and bring home meaningful treasures. In the evening, we’ll gather once more at our lakefront villa for a heartfelt farewell dinner, celebrating the connections and memories made throughout our time together.

As our time together comes to an end, guests will depart the villa carrying new memories, meaningful friendships, and inspiration to take home. Though we say goodbye to Lago Coatepeque, the connections and experiences from this journey will remain with you long after the trip.
